I initially never planned to move to Switzerland, and actually was in a process of moving to Australia. After getting an acceptance letter from one of the Australian universities, I went to a short trip to beautiful Switzerland and... met my future husband here. He proposed after 4 month of dating, and we got married shortly after. What a twist! I moved to Switzerland following my love, but got so much more: family, career, high quality of life, stability and security, beautiful nature, delicious cheese and chocolate and so much more! Any change is connected with a fear of unknown, but I really recommend you to dare and give it a try. Follow your heart and move to Switzerland, the heart of Europe!

Being of Bulgarian origin, I lived in the UK for almost 7 years during which I had the chance to complete my university degree as well as to start my professional career. While I was enjoying my life in the UK, having a comfortable job with my friends and family around me, at some point the comfort of my daily routine felt really limiting and this was the time when I longed for new challenges and opportunities. One day, an opportunity came knocking. I was offered a job in Switzerland, a country known for its stunning landscapes, efficient work culture, and quality of life. The offer was a chance to fulfill my dream, but it also meant leaving behind the familiar and taking a risk. After much contemplation, I have decided to take the leap of faith. With a mix of excitement and trepidation, I packed my bags and set off to Switzerland. The first year was challenging, adapting to a new language, new job, and a different way of life. But I was determined and worked hard, building new relationships with colleagues and locals, and exploring the breathtaking Swiss Alps during my free time. As time passed, my life began to transform. The efficient Swiss work culture allowed me to develop and grow professionally and personally. Eight years later, I am still in Switzerlnad, having a fulfilling job, a strong network of friends, and a sense of belonging in this beautiful country. The risk I had taken eight years ago had paid off in the most remarkable way. I can surely say that the decision to come to Switzerland has been one of the best choices I have ever made. I have not only advanced in my career but also found a new sense of purpose and happiness in this breathtaking country. Switzerland had become my home, and I am very grateful for every moment of my adventure so far
